The TCP/IP Networking Android app was developed to set up the Wi-Fi configuration for the Gas Analyser and Smoke meter. Replacing the Zigbee communications with ATWINC1500 Wi-FI modules, I worked with a senior software engineer to develop this app from the ground up. The features of the app include:
- Connecting to Wi-Fi networks in AP or STA mode
- Sending messages to the Gas Analyser/Smoke meter Wi-Fi module and getting responses back in client mode
- Configuring the network port settings
- Detecting the network settings and ability to ping IP addresses
